The RadonEye RD200 has been our bestseller for many years - a high-precision radon measuring device for private use that enables the fastest and most reliable measurements of indoor radon concentrations.
Now you can measure radon quickly and easily with the RadonEye from RadonTec. Thanks to the ionization chamber (which is actually only available in professional devices), the measuring device is the fastest and most accurate radon measuring device for private users on the market.
The current radon value is shown on the display at 10-minute intervals and you can use the mobile phone app (available from Android 5.0 and iOS 13) to display the exact radon value of the complete measurement (resolved over time).
It is also possible to define a radon alarm value; if this is exceeded, the measuring device warns with a visual and acoustic alarm.
Radon measurement couldn't be quicker, safer or easier!
The first reliable measured values can be read from the OLED display after just 1 hour and then every 10 minutes. Other measuring devices usually provide the first results after a measurement period of 24 to 48 hours.
Thanks to easy-to-understand operating instructions and smartphone app, you can easily detect dangerous radon levels in your home. Hourly readings are stored for up to one year so that they can be monitored in graphical representation (mobile) or as data series (download file).
The RadonEye clearly stands out with a 20 times higher measuring sensitivity than comparable devices within this price range. The high-quality device is a smart and highly sensitive radon detector with professional ion chamber technology, setting new standards in radon measurement technology.
Apps for Android and IOS are available for smartphones and tablets. Once you have installed the app, the connection between RadonEye and smartphone is established in seconds via Bluetooth. This allows you to keep an eye on your measurement data at all times and save and process the recorded values on the respective end device.
What makes radon so dangerous?
Radon is a highly carcinogenic, radioactive noble gas
that you cannot see, smell or taste. If you breathe in high levels of radon and its radioactive by-products over a longer period of time, the risk of developing lung cancer increases considerably.
Increases the risk of lung cancer
After smoking, radon is one of the most important causes of lung cancer. According to current findings, around five percent of deaths from lung cancer in Germany (over 1,900 per year) are attributable to radon and its decay products in buildings.
Take precautionary measures!
Only by measuring can you be sure of the actual radon levels in a building. Small measures are often all that is needed to significantly reduce indoor radon levels and the risk of lung cancer.
How can I read out the RadonEye RD200 data?
In the RadonEye app: Click on “Data Load”, then you can send yourself the data by e-mail.
The e-mail contains a .txt file that you can use to calculate the individual average value in Microsoft Excel.
1. iOS app for iPhone can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
2. the Android app for the phone can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
Do I have to recalibrate the RadonEye RD200 at some point?
No, unless the RadonEye is continuously exposed to radon levels of over 3700 Bq/m³.
Why do RadonEyes that are next to each other have different measured values?
First check whether both RadonEyes are set to the same measuring interval. If not, set both RadonEyes to the same measuring interval. If yes, do not hesitate to contact us.
Why is the difference between the RadonEye app and the device so high?
The RadonEye measures radon every 10 minutes, but the app only stores the hourly value.
Can I use any power bank with the RadonEye RD200?
No, unfortunately not all power banks are compatible with the RadonEye. If you want to be on the safe side, please order our power bank at the same time as your purchase.
How can I switch off the beep of my RadonEye RD200?
First connect to the device in the app, then click on Options and set “Alarm Setting” to Off.
Does the RadonEye RD200 have an exact date stamp in the app?
No, the RadonEye RD200 does not store a date or time with the radon values. The device simply records one measurement per hour. This means that Measurement 1 = XY Radon, Measurement 2 = XY Radon, and so on. If you want to have the date and time for the measurements, you need to remember when the data was exported via the app and then add a date and time to each measurement using Excel. One disadvantage is that if the device was without power for a while, the measurements are not lost, but the time when the device was off is not visible. The device will simply record the next measurement.
